Jamhuri Classic has continued to be actively involved in the community and the following are some of our major community partnerships.
| A. | In the last 3 years we have joined hands with AKPA (Association of Kenyan Professionals in Atlanta) to put together the Annual AKPA Open whose proceeds go to the AKPA Education Committee that supports several Education Initiatives. |
| The event has been held in honor of the late Ms. Njeri Karangu, wife to our very own member Kimani Karangu. The funds go towards supporting the Njeri Karangu Education Fund. | |
| B. | We have supported the Annual Marafiki Golf Tournament in the last 3 years, organized by Molapo Kgabo for the Marafiki Global Ministries. |
| Marafiki Global AIDS Ministry’s Mission is to Provide food, shelter, medical care, education, a safe environment and loving support to children worldwide who have been affected by HIV/AIDS. | |
| C. | In the summer of 2008, Jamhuri Classic and CHANCE Afrika combined forces to organize the very first Jamhuri Classic golf clinics targeting the youth and ladies. |
| CHANCE Afrika is an International non profit organization that seeks to help and support in the development of children and local communities in Africa through sports and educational programs. |
We continue to be very selective in the organizations we work with and in the years ahead we will seek to work and collaborate with similar sound organizations here in Atlanta and elsewhere in the world that share in the common purpose of supporting the COMMUNITY.
